The Flying Man: A Short StoryThe Flying Man: A Short StoryMan is condemned to the ground. Forever and always. If you ask me what a pilot is, Ill tell you a pilot is a man who strapped wings to his cradle. If you ask me what a gunslinger is, Ill tell you that hes a man with weak fists. If you ask me what a computer programmer is, Ill tell you he is enslaved to the light bulb. I am Trevor McCarthy. I am strong, I am smart.I can hunt better with my hands than most folk can with a gun and I start my own fires. I cook my own meat. My feet are cut and bloody and my hands are rough and calloused. I am the perfect figure of mankind and the ideals he should uphold. I maintain that to find the limits of the human body, you must find the limits of our universe. When you put a man and a woman together, you have all the earths weaknesses and strengths. A man cut but not bloody, a ripped body that isnt hurt, this man is only denying mans nature. A mind buried in the social mora
Cross Water Chapter 3Cross Water Chapter ThreeBela Lugosi. Our enemy. Our traitor. Our Benedict Arnold. Vampires have always been fearsome people, thats a fact. Bela Lugosi brought Dracula to the masses. Ever since his famous portrayal of the now infamous vampire, not only were vampires fearsome but they were villains. Not just feared but hated.Of course, you could say that I should be blaming Bram Stoker, but he reported the truth. Im sure youre aware at this point that everything in Dracula, indirectly at least, was true. This hypnosis of Mina is crap, vampires, no matter how powerful cannot hypnotize. The Count merely seduced them with promises of power. Everything else, the diaries, everything, it was all true. Bram Stoker was not a great author, he was just incredibly lucky in finding these journals, but you know this; it was all over the news. There were studies, there was only proof of Renfield ever having lived found in the insane asylum where he was held. But Bela L
Cross Water Chapter 2Cross Water Chapter TwoAs a vampire, there are a lot of things you regret. You dont regret the attacks, no. Those are puny incidents, they dont mean a thing. What you do regret is what you miss out on, even what isnt your choice. You regret not spending more time outside out of fear. Yes, we vampires can be in the sun but its extremely aggravating to our eyes so we must wear sunglasses. You regret eating the garlic toast, which causes all vampires throats to close and swell up. But depending on the kind of person you are, the one thing youll regret most as a vampire, once youve reached middle age is how much blood you got. It will either be too much or too little. Youll be sad that you didnt get enough chances to attack or that youve missed out on other things. Its okay though, you never got the option to not be a vampire. No matter what you do, youd always choose to be a human rather than a vampire.November 14th 1997

being a vampire, or vampyre as some of the kids are spelling it nowadays, is ignorable to a point. Vampires in this day and age are starting to merge into society. Vampires love to play themselves off as dark. They like to be dark and they like to be outcasts. Theyve Embraced their heritage I guess. They stay out of the sunlight; they wear all black, the whole shebang. Metal chains, piercing, everything. Frankly, it sickens me. Im sick of the made up stereotypes. Im wondering personally when people are going to stop victimizing themselves. Im going to say this one time, maybe more but I want to put as much emphasis on this as possible. We do not need blood.Did you get that? Now let me introduce myself. Im Fredrick Kudzsir I am a TV Repairman, Im a widower and I had a son. I enjoy late-night swimming and Im a vampire, as was my son, Bryant Kudzsir.

Kyle. This package, its flimsy, easily torn paper, it contains an eye-patch. This is not unusual, the big pirate-style eye-patch. Kyle, he has millions of them. Nothing was different about this one. When youre a boy named Kyle, not a man, and you receive this eye patch in the mail, what you think is Oh great, another one trying to save me from isolation. What you try not to think is that everything in life is not destiny. Kyle, he is comfortable. But this one contains a note. Only a few dont. But this one, it had floral print. Kyle turned it over, along the border there were kittens. The cute fluffy ones you never want to grow up, the ones that are so fuzzy wuzzy-dorable that they are too cute, how could they ever grow up and scratch your eye out? Something so benign, how could it pos
